I met Helen once when Lilian Ndoke and I stopped by to check on her health. I was blown away by her calmness and acceptance of what was going on in her life in regards to her illness. I remembered her telling us about her diet, because she had just started a new diet which consisted of only fresh fruits, and raw vegetables.
I will never forget this young beautiful life taken so not ready. My prayers are with the entire family, especialy her daughter. May Helen find peace where ever she is Amen.
ASHAKE.

Dear Helen,
In your short life it was always difficult to know which day was a bad day for you. In death I pray that you continue to light the eternal life of others with that smile.
Very few people in our community also know that you have a first class command of the spoken banyangi grammar. Your intonation and phonetic streeses where quite remarkable, just remarkable. If nobody has heard you speak banyangi then they would not understand my point.
Besides your infectious smile, it is one thing I will always remember you.
In my eyes you have not died, you have simply been relieved from the constant pain and suffering from the cancer as your memories remain unique to us who knew you on this earth.
Stay warm and keep smiling, my sister.
